1945 born in Bremen, Germany
1968-1971 Training at Lufthansa German Airlines
afterwards various positions within Lufthansa
in 1975 joined the Airline Scheduling Coordination Office
1986 appointed by the Federal Minister of Transport to Airline Scheduling Coordinator of the Federal Republic of Germany
1990/91 coordination of the former East German airports Dresden, Leipzig and Erfurt as well as the three Berlin airports.
1992 due to the changed legal position, re-appointment as Airline Scheduling Coordinator.
1993 change in the financing procedure after the EU Code of Conduct comes into force. Change in legal postion.
1994/95 Chairman of the European Union Airport Coordinators Group (EU-ACG).
1997 elected to chairman of the European Union Airport Coordinators Association EU-ACA, formerly EU-ACG.
1998 due to a change in the law, renaming in Airport Coordinator of the Federal Republic of Germany.
2000 + 2003 Re-elected to chairman of the EU-ACA

2004  elected to chairman of the WWACG
